It provides a driving range of 300km with 0-100kmph coming up in 7 seconds. It gets most of the bells and whistles along with Quattro all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering.

Audi has officially showcased the e-Tron SUV in India which is expected to hit India by the year 2022, the e-Tron will be the first all-electric Audi in India. The e-Tron will be the same which has been sold overseas and will be brought to India through the CBU route. It is expected to have a price tag of Rs 1.40 crore in India.

The e-Tron is powered with two electric motors that drive all four wheels. It produces a

combined output of 360PS and can rise up to 0-100kmph in just 6.6 seconds. It also has a special Boost mode in which the power figures go up to 408PS and the 0-100kmph time is shaved by 0.9 seconds. The electric motors are strongly powered by a 95kWH battery pack and the e-Tron is capable of doing 400kms in a full charge.

The Audi e-Tron is powered by two powerful electric motors, with one on each axle. This setup allows for the electric version of Audi’s trademark Quattro all-wheel-drive system. By producing a combined output of 408PS and 664Nm of torque in its ‘Boost’ mode, the e-Tron can go up to 0-100kmph in 5.7 seconds and maxes out at 200kmph. The Audi e-Tron also has a normal model where the power output can be restricted to 360PS and the 0-100kmph figure arrives in 6.6 seconds. But the e-Tron is not about performance, it is supposed to be an electric alternative to a comfortable, luxurious SUV which would fit in between the Q5 and Q7.

The Audi carmaker has added a third electric motor in the rear axle in addition to its dual electric motor setup. Being an Audi, the e-Tron S drives with all four wheels. But it is more rear-biased with the front motors kicking for the need for extra oomph. It has a torque vectoring system, delivering power to the wheel with maximum grip. Other driving enhancements include Audi’s S adaptive air suspension and a progressive steering wheel that becomes more agile while throwing it into a set of corners.

The e-Tron S draws power from the standard model’s 95kWh battery pack and with the inclusion of a third motor, there’s definitely a drop in range. As per the WLTP test cycle, it’s capable of doing 363km, a drop of 83km from the standard model.

The hallmark of Audi Singleframe is located in the centre of the front side of the Audi e-Tron. The top half of e-Tron comes with a cover painted in its amazing body colour. Its surface structure is evocative of the typical honeycomb pattern of the grille on the Audi models which is a visual signal which characterizes the Audi e-Tron GT concept as a future product of Audi Sport GmbH.

With 4 doors and 4 seats with 2.90 meters (9.5 ft) wheelbase, the interior the Audi e-Tron GT provides a large dose of everyday usability, coupled with superb quality and luxury feel. The functional centre of the interior is located at the front left, visibly focused on the driver’s seat.

Both the touchscreen above the centre console and the screen of the central instrument comes with the ultimate black-panel look finish. The large, calm design of the interior gives it a predominantly the horizontal basic architecture.

With the e-Tron car,  the designers have deliberately gone for the consistent use of sustainable materials which is a clear statement of contemporary automotive design. Animal-based products are not used at all in the Audi e-Tron GT as the concept comes with a vegan interior.
