India’s First Electric SUV, Hyundai Kona has been launched in India and it includes so many attractions, but more importantly, it has even more to animate.

Everybody is speaking about electric vehicles. Those who are in contradiction of contamination are speaking about it, government officials are speaking about it, business specialists are speaking about it, everybody is speaking about electric vehicles. But here’s the thing, while everyone keeps speaking about it, can you subordinate a car with this ‘electric vehicle’ discussion? Lastly, each Hyundai Kona Electric also gets a 2.8 kW movable charger, which can be straight worked into your regular 15-ampere socket and it will take about 19 hours to fully charge the car after it is fully liquidated. This charger can top up every day running of 50 km in fewer than 3 hours.

Final Service Cost

One of the major profits of electric vehicles and the Kona in specific is the low cost of proprietorship. In fact, Hyundai says that the Kona electric's running rate is about one-fifth of the Hyundai Creta petrol and the charge of running per kilometre is less than 1 rupee. Whereas you devote six rupees per kilometre on Creta petrol! With lesser moving parts, the maintenance cost for the Kona Electric will be suggestively reduced than that of petrol Creta. Yes! The low cost of ownership is invalidated by the asking price of the Kona, but with the government's thrust to electrification and the paybacks that it offers, the Kona electric makes a good event for itself.

Our Impression

The Kona Electric is fresh and green. The presentation is at balance with other cars in the same price support and the list of structures is long too. The looks are original and might polarise view but we fairly like it. Getting the Kona Electric to India is a brave move and a step in the correct direction. It is the best product; no hesitation and Hyundai imagine to sell about 500 units a year. But the very fact that now, there is a choice for even a marginal customer base, is testament to the fact that India is certainly moving towards electric mobility.

It has nearly everything going for it. First, it’s electric, so those who are worried about contamination can have clear ethics. Second, it offers an eccentric range so those who are worried about that can sleep well at night. Third, it is an SUV which we Indians dear and finally, it is a boundless value for money decision not only when you look at it as an electric car but even as just a car in over-all. Its biggest optimistic is that it feels nothing out of the normal. It will not stand out clumsily on the road with a gimmicky, over the top project and it takes only a few minutes to familiarize to. The future is not that different after all.

What leftovers are to be seen is how well it is recognized in the Indian market as that would be a clear signal of just how prepared we are for electric vehicles as this is pretty much as good as it gets.
