Top Electric Cars with highest range in 2020

India is the largest growing economy in the world. So whatever steps India takes, the world will always be having an eye on it as India has always been a source of inspiration for the world. That's why India comes with a lot of plans and ideas every time and then for the sustainable development. Keeping this sustainable development in view, India unveiled the "National Electric Mobility Mission Plan 2020" in the year 2013. This has been mainly done to address the issues about the vehicular pollution, national energy security and also the growth of domestic manufacturing capabilities all across India. India also has made a commitment to the Paris Agreement. In this, the Government of India has made plans to make a major shift from gasoline vehicles to electric vehicles. And this was planned to be implemented by the year 2030. Some major E-commerce giants - the Indian car manufacturers like Reva Electric Car, The Company has planned to make electric cars extensively available for the public in the next two decades. Reva is not alone; Ola, the Indian app-based transportation company has also planned the same and is quite adamant to provide clean energy transportation for the people of India.

          The best of best and the boss of all, Audi has come with has come up with the new and tuff boy, e-Tron. This is a kind of vehicles which has a range of up to 400 km and its expected price is more than 1 crore. This is Audi's first series production of EVs. Some of the highlights of this EV include dual central touchscreens, camera-based outside rearview mirrors, four-zone climate control, air suspension among many others. This boy e-Tron is powered by a 95 kWh battery pack. It just takes only  30 minutes for its battery to rise from 0 to 80+ percentage as it has a quick DC charger. As all these features are jam-packed together, that's why, the price is more and it is expensive. But it is worth it.

2. Mercedes-Benz EQC:

               The next best in the list is Mercedes-Benz EQC. This is also an important vehicle released by Mercedes-Benz. The EQC is already in work. The most important thing is it will be the first product of Mercedes-Benz' EV subsidiary. This vehicle is powered by an 80 kWh lithium-ion battery. The speed which it can offer is around 350 km of range which is a bit lower than its Audi rival. This vehicle Mercedes-Benz EQC also supports 110 kW fast charger which can easily charge the battery from 10 to 80 in just a matter of 40 minutes. As this comes with all these features, it is also expected to be around Rs 1 crore or so.

3. MG ZS EV:


MG ZS EV has already started making all its way to launch its first electric SUV in India (the eZS). It is actually planning to set up fast-charging facilities at 5 different cities, to begin with. It is about its dealership. The most interesting thing is it is strongly expected that this vehicle will offer a range of around 350 km per charge as it comes with a battery pack of 44.5 kWh. Some other additional features which it comes with is that the customers will get iSmart connected technology which is powered by an eSIM (this allows remote AC control), over the geofencing, air system updates, live tracking, and much more. And it is mostly expected to be more than 20 lakh price range and can get into a high speed of 350 km.

4. Mahindra XUV300 Electric:

               As mentioned above, the 4th in the list is quite special i.e., Mahindra XUV300 Electric. This vehicle is almost all set. There are actually very high expectations from this EV of XUV300. The amazing thing is, it can deliver a range of around 350 to 400 km per charge. It has Made in Korea lithium-ion batteries instead of the Chinese made cells. Another interesting thing is that the XUV300 EV has almost got the similar kind of features as the ICE-powered XUV300. The price of this vehicle Mahindra XUV300 Electric is expected to be around Rs 15 lakh to 18 lakh.

Price: Approx. Rs 15 lakh

5. Tata Altroz EV:

               Tata is a well-known and most trusted brand in India. Tata has already made all its arrangement to bring out its electric vehicle (EV). The Tata Altroz EV actually is very special for the Indian market. This has a front grille that is devoid of any vents. And on top of that, it has a flat floor for increased cabin space. It is based on the ALFA ARC platform. The most important point to ponder is that Tata claims that this vehicle Tata Altroz EV can definitely score a band of 5 in the crash test. This Tata Altroz EV can cover a range of 250 - 300 km per charge. And talking about its battery, it can charge from 0 to 80 in just 60 minutes. The price range is around Rs 14 lakh. This is something very economic and affordable for the average Indian market and Tata has rolled its sleeves to capture the Indian market with its EVs.
