Vespa Elettrica | Piaggio Group's First Electric Scooter

Vespa is one of the most premium scooters when it comes to the Indian two-wheeler market. Now as we're moving towards the electric economy, how can you expect it to stand back. Piaggio Group had already launched the Vespa Elettrica in Europe where it is being sold the whole time. Now Vespa Elettrica has been showcased in India twice this year which makes us believe that it would be launched in June 2020, which is quite earlier than the previous expected month which was Feb 2021. So since it's arriving a bit earlier, let's have a look!

Electric mobility will never be the same. Introducing the Vespa Elettrica, a stylish interpretation of the desire for a new relationship between vehicle, environment and technology.
Delivering outstanding pick-up, easy and enjoyable riding and up to 100 km of uninterrupted riding thanks to the lithium-ion battery which also includes an energy recovery system during deceleration. The beating heart of the Vespa Elettrica is a silent, technologically advanced power unit.

These lines pretty much describe the entire power, design and purpose of this vehicle. Talking about the highlights of this scooter, they've gone for the elegance and simplicity whether its about design or the usability, its kept as practical as it could be. Again Vespa is a brand within itself, so most of the people looking forward to buying it won't be much interested in the specifications much. But still, if go ahead and compare it with some of the leading electric scooters like Bajaj Chetak and Ather 450, it should hold quite well. The real expected competition would be between the Bajaj Chetak and Vespa Elettrica as both are willing to target the premium segment of the audience. But looking at the current information we have, Vespa has priced the scooter quite competitively which could give it an upper-hand over Bajaj Chetak.

Expected Price: Rs. 90,000/-
